Individual Therapy
I specialize in working with kids, teens, and families struggling with anxiety and OCD. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention. Worry can really get in the way of life. Common signs of anxiety and OCD in youth can be:
Avoidance situations or social activities that cause anxiety
Perfectionism and rigidity
Difficulty sleeping or regular nightmares
Trouble focusing on the task at hand
Excessive worry about everyday situations
Headaches, stomachaches and fatigue
Irritability
Difficulty separating from parents
Regular, unwanted, intrusive thoughts that cause distress
Repeated actions to reduce distress or prevent something from happening
Excessive concerns around a particular theme (contamination, illness, harming self/others, need for symmetry/things to be just right)
